Sheng Hua Tang is a Chinese classic herbal formula that stimulates blood flow and relieves pain. The herbal formula is widely used by Chinese women who after giving birth will use the formula to improve blood flow. According to the Daoist Center, this formula is the most popular post-partum formula to restore blood flow.

For unable to dispel clot blood (lochiostasis) after birth with pain in the lower abdomen. Note after giving birth, there will be some pain or ache in the lower abdomen and the lower back. There will be some discharge of blood and dead tissue and mucus. This is normal. If it is not excessive, then it is not necessary to use Sheng Hua Tang.

During the first 6 days after delivery, the woman womb may still have some left over blood. It is important to get rid of this blood and it is stagnant already. From western medicine perspective, this is called clot blood. From Chinese medicine perspective, this blood is useless to the body and it must be get rid ASAP.

Ingredients:
• Dang Gui Wei (Angelica sinensis)
• Tao Ren (Prunus persica)
• Chung Xiong (Ligusticum wallichii)
• Pao Jiang (Zingiber officinale)
• Zhi Gan Cao (Glycyrrhiza glabra)

Cooking Method:
• Boil it with 4 bowls of water. Once it is boil, switch to small flame.
• Brew it with small flame for around 40 min until one bowl of the herbal tea is left.
• Pour out 1 bowl of herbal tea.
• To boil it for second time, put 3 bowls of water and brew it until 1 bowl of the herbal tea is left.
• 2 bowls of herbal tea are ready to drink, one bowl in the morning and the other in the envening, after meals 30 min.

Notes:
• There will be some discharge of blood and dead tissue and mucus coming out from uterus. This is normal. If it is not excessive, then it is not necessary or less to use Sheng Hua Tang.
